dc.description	En el presente artículo se desarrollan algunos antecedentes de las ideas contenidas en las definiciones sobre extensión universitaria aprobadas por el Consejo Directivo Central de la Universidad de la República en octubre de 2009. Esas definiciones sintetizan las ideas principales que orientaron la política extensionista de la Udelar en el período 2006-2014, las cuales han sido y continúan siendo objeto de polémica en el debate universitario. Lejos de constituir una suerte de novedad disruptiva en el proceso histórico universitario, las ideas condensadas en la definición de 2009 contienen una historicidad ineludible. Procurando aportar al debate en curso, en el presente artículo se repasan algunos antecedentes al respecto que es posible encontrar en la historia extensionista institucional de la Udelar.	es_ES
dc.description	This paper address the main antecedents of the ideas contained in the definitions of uni- versity extension approved by the Universidad de la República of Uruguay (UDELAR) in October 2009. These definitions synthesize the main ideas that guided the university extension policy of the UDELAR in the period 2006-2014, which have been and continue to be a subject of controversy in the uruguayan university debate. Far from being a kind of disruptive innovation in the UDELAR’s history, the ideas condensed in the definitions of 2009 contain an inescapable historicity. Trying to contribute to the ongoing debate, in this article are reviewed some important antecedents of these ideas that can be found in the institutional history of the UDELAR.	es_ES
